Sheep Family

During wintertime here in Iceland the sheep are kept indoor and only go out inside a fence during daytime. In the beginning of summer the lamb are born and soon after they go with their mothers into the fields and up into the mountains to roam free during summertime. Late August beginning of September the sheep farmers collect all the sheep from the mountain.

This image is shot soon after this family was brought from the  mountain side, the hair is long and dirty. I got really lucky this morning as this sheep just  lined up for me as they wanted to be photographed. Taken in Haukadalur in the WestFjords.
